Ukraine Launches Massive Drone Attack On Russia

The Russia/Ukraine war has escalated into another destructive phase. This is after Ukraine launched over eight hundred and fifty (850) drones toward the Federation of Russia’s territory. The attack led Moscow, the seat of government, to announce widespread drone interceptions as well as damage in several cities.

Ukraine authorities justified the massive drone operation as; it warned that Russia was planning another destructive attack on Ukrainian cities

Over eight hundred (800) Ukrainian drones were intercepted by the air defense system, as reported by Russia’s ministry of Defense. It’s believed the drones were launched towards multiple sites, including areas around Moscow, the Sea of Azov, and Russia-occupied Crimea, but were intercepted before they could reach their destination.

The level of the attack on Russian soil by Ukraine demonstrates Ukraine ability to produce and rely on its local manufactured long range drones. The development has helped Ukraine with its deeper strikes inside Russia. Targeting oil refineries, fuel depots, and other massive infrastructure in a move to put more pressure on Moscow and to disrupt Russia military supplies. A move that changed the dimension of the war since it started in 2022.

The Ukraine attacks come as Russia continues its own massive bombing campaign against Ukraine. Targeting its ports, bridges, energy facilities, and other essential infrastructures. With the aim of disrupting normal life as well as make life unbearable in Ukraine, which is meant to put more pressure on Kyiv and Zelensky.

Ukraine is currently receiving massive technical and financial support from countries all over the world especially the European Union and the United States, who saw the campaign as fruitful since Ukraine can strike deeper into Russia. This is completely different from how it was when the war started.

However, with Ukraine ability to strike deeper into Russia, following the massive financial and technical support they are getting from European countries and the United States. The fear is that Russia will not decide to use any means possible in order to win the war.
